Luminol
Luminol, also known as luminescent amine, photogenic agent, or luminol, is a common luminescent chemical reagent that emits a striking blue light when mixed with appropriate oxidizers. It is a whitish to pale yellow powder, soluble in most organic polar solvents but insoluble in water. In forensic science, luminol is used to detect trace blood at crime scenes, while in biology, it is used as a substrate to detect the presence of copper, iron, and cyanide in cells.

Application:
Chemiluminescent reagents can detect blood at crime scenes that is not visible to the naked eye, revealing extremely small amounts of bloodstain patterns (occult blood reaction), and are used as in vitro diagnostic reagents. They serve as fluorescent indicators, act as complexing indicators when testing for copper, and are used for bloodstain identification, among other applications.
